Welthungerhilfe (WHH) is one of the largest private aid agencies in Germany; politically and religiously independent. WHH bases its efforts on the principle of empowering people to help themselves, which it implements with measures ranging from rapid disaster relief to rehabilitation to long-term development cooperation projects with national and international partner organizations.

WHH has a vision of a world in which everyone can lead a self-determined life in dignity and justice, free from hunger and poverty. Hunger is the biggest solvable problem in the world. WHH wants to do all it can to find a lasting solution to this problem.“ZeroHunger by 2030” –is the clear goal for the organisation with reference to the Sustainable Development Goals defined in its strategy.

Welthungerhilfe is the lead agency coordinating the CCR project implemented in Cuba, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic.

Welthungerhilfe is also implementing the CCR project in the South-East of Haiti (Thiotte, Anse-a-Pitres and Grand Gosier), through a project office located in Thiotte.
