Centro Naturaleza

The Centro para la Educación y Acción Ecológica Naturaleza (CEDAE), or Centro Naturaleza, was founded in 1989 and operates in the Northwest Cibao Region of the Dominican Republic. Its mission is to research and disseminate ideas and technologies that promote the development of socially excluded spaces, with practical solutions in the short, medium, and long term. As a reflective and critical institution, its vision focuses on addressing adverse situations in the social and natural environment, with a participatory approach towards excluded sectors.

CEDAE's objective is to develop self-sustaining models of development together with excluded sectors, while maintaining the well-being and quality of the surrounding natural environment. As part of the CCR project, CEDAE implements EbA measures in vulnerable communities in the Northwest of the Dominican Republic. It also focuses on disseminating the EbA approach and incorporating it into local, regional, and national plans.
